Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! we've had a busy two weeks with family and puppies rotating in and out for the holidays - all the while i've been holding down the couch and keeping Dillan safe inside of me. We've just about made it to 35 weeks - more then ever seemed possible 12 weeks ago when i started bed rest. Dillan is now large and strong and developed enough to come into this world, but we are praying he hangs out until February.
at our last check-up, the doctor said we can expect him to be about 8 pounds at terms and everything is going just as it should. today he's somewhere between 5 and 6 pounds, abut the size of a tiny, but healthy, newborn.
yesterday the army had a good laugh when they sent me orders to iraq. report date of march 8, 2009. sent me and luke into a bit of a tail spin (what if I weren't pregnant and really had to go back?), but we know that this is all God's timing. I won't be deployable again until 4 months after Dillan is born and can resign my commission after june 2. so as long as Dillan waits until Feb 2 to pop out, there won't be a window of deployability. If he comes early, we'll just have to trust in God's will and the power of prayer.

Oh thank God! What a scare that would be! Are you still under that 8 year inactive reserve thing? Is that why? I did 10 years so I hope that doesn't sneak back in and bite me, but Mark says you hear all the time about people who've retired or been medically retired, being called back in times of need. This will be a little tidbit to tell Dillan later!
Wow, way to go Dillan!! =D What a great story you'll have for him one day. How wonderful that he is already having such a huge impact on this world even before he is technically a part of it. =) All my love to you and that husband of yours.
